Welcome back to the 13 Days of Craftoween! One of my favorite parts of this series is how each day builds on the last, giving us more ways to layer and combine the dies for unique Halloween projects.
Day 7’s envelope includes everything you need to build a spooky stack of books topped with flickering candles. These dies not only stand beautifully on their own, but they also work seamlessly with the elements from previous days — and even with other favorites from your stash.
For today’s card, I created a little shelf scene that mixes:
- Books + candles (Day 7)
- Skull + raven (Day 2)
- Witch hat + broom (Day 6)
- Jack-o’-lantern + BOO banner (Day 4)
- Plus a few stash basics like a mantle (shelf), big pumpkin, and embossed background
The layering possibilities are what make this series so fun — each day adds more dimension and story to our projects!

Each day from now through the end of August, I’ll be sharing a 10-minutes-or-less video tutorial featuring one of the Halloween dies from the Spellbinders Craftoween Box, plus plenty of inspiration for mixing in products from your stash. This year my goal is not only to highlight the Craftoween dies, but also to inspire you to combine them with favorites from your own stash to create extra magical Halloween cards.
