Happy Monday, and Happy December!
Today marks the first day of DieCember over at Simon Says Stamp, and I’m so excited to share this year’s exclusive collaboration with Tim Holtz. The Snowflake Rosette die is free with any $30 purchase of Tim Holtz products at Simon Says Stamp — no code needed and only while supplies last.
This is the sixth year Tim has teamed up with Simon for a Diecember exclusive, and this design might just be my favorite yet. I used the Snowflake Rosette along with the always-loved Vault Rosette to create a set of layered Christmas ornaments with a vintage-inspired look.
For these pieces, I die-cut the rosettes from Tim’s Christmas Backdrops patterned papers, inked the edges for that signature distressed feel, and then layered the Snowflake Rosette on top of the original rosette for dimension. Each ornament is finished with jute twine and a metal Ideology seal in the center. The result is classic, nostalgic, and perfect for holiday décor.

Each year brings something new, and I love seeing how the exclusive dies inspire different projects and styles. If you’re feeling extra crafty or want even more holiday inspiration, here are some of my favorites from years past:
