The new Shiny New Day Collection from Spellbinders is full of charming cleaning-themed products that are perfect for creating cheerful, lighthearted cards. The collection includes the adorable Squeaky Clean and Petal Fresh die sets, the Suds & Buds 3D Embossing Folder, coordinating sentiments, and sweet floral accents. Everything works beautifully together, and the entire collection is available as a bundle or as individual products so you can pick and choose your favorites.
For today’s card, I started by creating an all-over bubble background using the bubble half of the Suds & Buds 3D Embossing Folder. I embossed a 4” x 5 1/4” panel of Waterfall Cardstock and then lightly rubbed white pigment ink over the raised areas to highlight the embossed design and add even more dimension. This simple technique really helps the bubbles stand out.
Next, I die cut all of the elements from the Squeaky Clean and Petal Fresh die sets and assembled the images. Several of the elements were adhered with foam adhesive to create additional depth and dimension. The cleaning supplies paired with the florals create such a fun and whimsical design.
To finish the card, I stamped three sentiments on Seaside Cardstock using Ocean Ink. After die cutting the sentiments with basic circle dies, I adhered them throughout the design to mimic floating bubbles. The completed panel was mounted to a white A2 card base and embellished with a scattering of aqua gems for the perfect finishing touch.
