Create a bold birthday card by combining colorful die-cut florals with a subtle, tone-on-tone foiled background! For today’s project, I paired the Stargazers Etched Dies and Containers & Foliage Etched Dies from Lisa Horton’s Summertime Collection for Spellbinders with the Essentially Yours Happy Birthday dies to create a clean and simple design full of dimension and vibrant color.
To add texture without distracting from the florals, I foiled the Grungy Background Press & Foil Plate using opaque black foil on black cardstock. The result is a beautifully subtle background that catches the light while allowing the bright die-cut flowers and foliage to remain the focal point.
