Elegant Floral Thinking of You Cards | Simon Says Stamp Always There Blog Hop Day 2

May 30, 2026June 3, 2026 by nicholspohr

Welcome to Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp Always There Blog Hop! Today I’m sharing a set of elegant thinking of you cards featuring Simon Says Stamp embossing folders and coordinating stencils paired with my favorite A2 Nested Rectangles dies.

In the video tutorial, I share tips and techniques for creating more interesting one-layer backgrounds before stenciling, working with colored cardstock instead of traditional white card bases, selecting color combinations, and adding simple finishing details that elevate your card designs. These beautiful floral cards are easy to customize and perfect for sending a thoughtful note to someone special.

GORGEOUS Nichol !!!! I’m always a Hydrangea loving gal (especially the blue ones) and your card using the new Hydrangea 3D embossing folder and stencils really did them justice, but you weren’t done, your second card is equally beautiful. I love the peachy coral flowers, also featuring another new 3D embossing folder & stencils. As per always your usage of background text, spatter, ribbon, gems and “all the things” is what sets your cards apart. You spare no attention to detail and it always shows. Right where I started Gorgeous cards, spectacular really !!!!

Stunning cards!! I have never used light colored cardstock on a card, much less stamp it with a light colored script background and it looks fantastic! I’m definitely going to have to try this! Thanks for the awesome idea!

Hello Nichol, I am your fan. Thank you for sharing tips and inspiration with us. I would love to do cards as my job, but I live in Czech Republic, where card making is not very known (so it has potentional), but I am affraid to use things from SSS, Spellbinders, Honey Bee etc. publicly, as I am not sure if I would not break law somehow if I would do blog posts/videos and mayebe sell my cards for small amount of money for buying new things and support these shops.
